LOCK TABLE的權限是不是需要向網管反映，小弟都自行站架，沒找過webhosting所以還沒遇過類似的問題。

freehosting無法管控，所以沒法弄囉 :(
lenhost預設有Drupal 5可以裝，不過我怎麼裝都裝不起來(可能是該站的管理者寫的install script出問題了)
雖然有freehosting可用，不過通常free的只有半套
假如在瀏覽時不會出現那些問題的話，lenhost其實還算不錯用(會員註冊可用，而且也收的到註冊信，信件也沒亂碼)，可以做免費的試用平台

改了密碼後果然lock tables的錯誤訊息就沒了
剛才有再測試了一下一些功能
01.資訊聯播無法使用
02.附加檔案編碼有誤(有測過修改過的版本，傳到上面去用net2ftp去看是繁體中文沒錯，不過下載後(nte2ftp)就變成繁體中文夾亂碼，網頁瀏覽則連檔案都看不到)
這兩個功能01.是極少用，可忽略(它太操CPU了XD)02.用英文即可解決，整體上lenhost.info真的不賴

我剛才也重新測試了一下，並用lenhost提供的線上安裝檔安裝，且在創設資料庫後，進去phpmyadmin把連線校正改成"utf8_general_ci"後才跑安裝程式
請問一下您在測試附件檔案時有修改 files.inc 嗎?
以我使用時發生的問題，沒修改的話，中文檔案傳上去後，名稱會變成只有附檔案
ex: 好看的圖片.jpg => jpg
不過，假如檔案前面有英文或數字，則不會有問題
ex: 01好看的圖片.jpg => 01好看的圖片.jpg (以FTP看檔案也不會亂碼，而且下載沒問題)
(上面的問題，不管是5.2或5.3，自己架設或lenhost都一樣)

至於站上前輩們修改過的版本，我在自己架設的機器使用上沒問題，不過用lenhost後，上傳附件檔名都沒問題，可是會變成無法下載，我用lenhost的線上檔案管理程式去管理檔案時，檔名沒錯，可是在下載時，卻出現"繁體中文夾亂碼"的檔案(因為drupal的附件是看的到，抓不到地~)

lenhost有個小bug，每新增一個資料庫後，都必需重新設一次密碼，否則 lock tables 的問題會一直存在 XD

據我所知上下載檔案與"連線校正"似乎沒關聯

在XP以Xampp架設，我用maisonchen兄所提供的第二版解決~
在Linux以GNU Debian架設(沒動特別動php或mysql設定檔)，我用jimmy兄所提供的檔案解決

在lenhost則是兩個版本都無效~

另外，我覺得不要太執著中文檔名的問題，因為放在lenhost會把資料再移動的機會很大，所以用英文檔名是最保險
若是真的想解決，恐怕得修file.inc，讓此檔的參數符合lenhost的標準 (lenhost安裝debian或許不是以utf-8為預設系統語系吧，我猜地~)
不然的話就是在每個中文檔名前面加上"數字"或"英文"符號，也算是可以解決中文檔名上下載的解決方式之一(此法預設的file.inc即可使用)
