Experience with Apache, MySQL, PostgreSQL,
Desirable skills:
PHP and Drupal custom programing a plus, but not essential
Microarray, Bioinformatics, biological knowledge a plus, but not essential
General programing programing skills in Perl, Python, Ruby or Java
Some English proficiency

Job description

Phalanx Biotech is a fast growing Biotechnology company located in the Hsinchu Science Park. Our main competency is the high-throughput manufacture of high-density microarrays. Microarrays are widely used in biomedical research and medical diagnostics. The IT/Bioinformatics department is seeking to employ a Drupal programmer to help develop and maintain our customer service platform. You will be working on an in-house developed Drupal system for delivering data to Phalanx service customers. This job will require at a minimum, the ability to setup and customize Drupal with available modules. Ideally the candidate should be able to write PHP and custom Drupal modules, or have a willingness to learn. Various Linux system administration tasks for the IT/Bioinofrmatics team will also need to be performed, such as server maintenance, LDAP directory maintenance.
